Silverwood Park is a metro park near Brooklyn Center, MN. The park contains Silver Lake which allows visitors to enjoy the beautiful view or try fishing. It has a variety of fish with the most abundant being Bluegill, Crappie, and Catfish. You can also rent a kayak.

The Shingle Creek Regional Trail is a trail system through the Minneapolis metro area. It is 8 miles of paved trail which can be used by walkers or bicyclists. The path is dog-friendly but a leash must be used.
